| I'm one of the winners of the Northwestern Concerto Competition! I'm SO excited!!!   
I get to play the entire concerto too!! and the best part is that I get to play it with a pretty darn good orchestra!! YAY!!!!

| spring quarter has just began... and of course, just when I thought things can't get any busier, it does....
in the next week:
1. playing in studio - rach 2 (II & III)
2. Chamber recital hearing
3. Richard Goode voice masterclass - schumann's dichterliebe (1-4)
4. Richard Goode piano masterclass - beethoven op. 109 (I)
5. Performing at recital hour - rach 2 (II & III)
6. Perform Brahms' Horn Trio in horn player's recital
7. Accompany a voice recital
8. Concerto competition prelim
 What the HELL!!!! I'm only taking things one day at a time.... it's all I can do right now...
other than that, life is going great!
Highlights so far:
I got to see Argerich, Brendel, Bronfman, Kissin, Perahia, Uchida... Brendel's retiring.. so that was the last chance and Argerich actually showed up!
Playing in masterclasses: Nelita True, Richard Goode
Wonderful teachers: Chow (love him!), Dr. Wang, Dr. Bosits, Jiles, Oppens (I got to have dinner with Ursula Oppens!She's in the Grove dictionary... how cool is that!!)
Being in orchestra with Yampolsky--best conductor EVER!!!
Northwestern baby!!!! 'nuf said~ 
and of course the wonderful friends that I've made here!
i guess bottom line is as long as i'm happy, i can keep going! ok, good luck to me and my week~! and have a great week yourself!

| opera production is next week... hence, there's rehearsals from 7-10pm every night!! (from Mon-Wed and the performances begin Thurs-Sun)
on top of that, i have an audition to play at a masterclass on Wed...
extra orchestra rehearsals....
and i'm kinda sick... 
I just hope I make it!
i think i'm feeling the musician life now... already... isn't this a little too early?
a teacher once said.. "this is how the music life is. might as well start now!" yeah, thanks!~
oh, and i'm so sick of the cold weather... it's still kinda snowing today~~  i just want warmth~
i'm really just being a baby i guess.. i'll stop whining! back to the real world now...

| hi friends... it's been way too long~ so many things has happened...
let's see:
christmas/winter break, spring quarter, chinese new year, valentines day, etc...
just when I thought that my schedule can't get any crazier, of course, it does! I am doing classes, chamber, orchestra, opera, accompanying, 3 different jobs, and lessons. And to top it all off, I have a chamber recital coming up! yay~!
other than the whole being busy thing, i'm doing pretty well. School is great, and friends are amazing. We practice and have fun together. It's nice :)
crazy thought but doctoral auditions are this time next year. that also means applications are due this december... eeeeeee~~~
i hope spring quarter will not get worse... that's all i'm hoping for! okay, have to go now... later dudez

| oh wow.. i haven't updated in like forever! time really flew by!~
let's see...
1. I played with the NU symphony! It was an amazing concert!
2. I made turkey for the first time ever for Thanksgiving! It turned out really well! and the family-less people hung out! fun times.. :)
3. Went to many amazing concerts! Perahia, Bronfman, Yundi Li, London Symphony Orchestra... more to come next year!
4. I freakin love my teacher! He's the most adorable/amazing person! We're having a studio party, n doing secret santa! lol~~
5. Finals week next week! But I've got nothing.. only one presentation, and one paper (2-3pages). But I have a ton of gigs.. so that's keeping me busy!
6. I have amazing friends here! They are wonderful people and I couldn't be happier!
on a not so good note, a lot of us are either down with the flu, or caught the cold... so yeah, we're all sick! It's snowing here like everyday............... *pout (high 29°..  )
but, we're still happy people! :) hehe...
and Christmas at Michigan with the bro!  YAY!! 
ok... time to rest summore, then gig tonight! Stay warm people!
